Representative Director Yukichi Ijichi Receives the Economist Future Award 2026 in the Industrial Innovation Category
We are pleased to announce that Yukichi Ijichi, President and Representative Director, has received the "Economist Future Award 2026."
The Economist Future Award was established in 2023 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Weekly Economist magazine. It recognizes companies and business leaders who identify shifts in society and industry and take on the challenge of creating new value.
For 2026, 20 individuals were selected across six categories: Industrial Innovation, Global Challenge, Digital Innovation, Professional, Future of Health, and Future Creation. Our company was selected in the Industrial Innovation category.

Winner of the Economist Future Award 2026, Industrial Innovation Category.
Our company has operated in the energy and plant sector, focusing primarily on the dispatch of skilled personnel to plants, test operations, and construction management, as well as the sale of and consulting on biogas power generators.
In recent years, we have also taken on the restoration and revitalization of biogas plants, drawing on the plant engineering expertise and on-site knowledge we have accumulated over the years. In the field of biogas power generation, which produces energy from waste, we support the sustainable use of energy by resolving technical challenges and providing end-to-end support from construction and adjustment through to power generation and sales.
In addition, in 2023 we launched a food processing business utilizing non-standard vegetables from Nantan City, Kyoto. With the aim of reducing food loss and contributing to local agriculture, we manufacture and sell processed products such as vegetable jams.
This award recognizes our efforts to address social issues in areas such as regional communities, agriculture, and the environment, and to take on new business ventures, while making full use of the technical capabilities we have cultivated in the energy field.
An interview with Yukichi Ijichi is also available on the official Economist Future Award 2026 website.
In the interview, he discusses the background to our work in restoring biogas plants, our challenge in launching a food business using non-standard vegetables, and the sustainable future of agriculture we aim to achieve by supporting farmers in developing their own "sixth-order industrialization" (integrating production, processing, and sales). We invite you to take a look.
