“GENTEC” High-Efficiency Cogeneration System Now Available in Japan
～Special Website Launched; First Domestic Demonstration of Actual Unit at March Biomass Exhibition～
CaPLANT Co.,Ltd. (Headquarters: Ukyo-ku, Kyoto; President and CEO: Sukichi Ijichi) will commence full-scale sales of the GENTEC cogeneration system (hereinafter referred to as CHP) for the Japanese market starting January 2026.
Concurrently, we have launched a dedicated “GENTEC Special Site” on our company website, featuring product details and case studies.
Furthermore, we will unveil the GENTEC CHP unit for the first time in Japan at the BIOMASS EXPO ~ 11th Int'l Biomass Expo ~ to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in March 2026.
Background of Commencement of Operations
Our company has long been committed to promoting CHP systems through our partnership with TEDOM. In recent years, interest in CHP has grown significantly against the backdrop of advancing GX policies and rising electricity costs, leading to increasingly diverse customer requirements.
When considering CHP implementation, it is essential to comprehensively evaluate multiple factors beyond just output, including installation space, low noise levels, delivery time, and price. Even within the same output range, specifications and features vary by manufacturer.
Recognizing this situation, we have strengthened our ability to propose “the optimal unit for each customer” across a wide range of conditions, from small-to-medium scale to large-scale projects. This was achieved by adding GENTEC products, which have a proven track record of implementation in over 10 European countries, to our lineup.

Simultaneously produces electricity and heat, utilizing energy without waste. Compared to conventional separate systems, energy cost savings of up to 40% can be expected. Featuring reliable European engines such as MAN and MTU, and designed for continuous 24/7 operation, it supports stable operation as a core energy source for biogas power generation and factories. *Overall efficiency and savings vary depending on operating conditions.
2.Multi-fuel compatibility and compliance with Japanese regulations
In addition to biogas, natural gas, and LP gas, technological development is underway with an eye toward future hydrogen utilization. By combining technologies such as SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) that contribute to low NOx emissions, we can propose systems tailored to domestic environmental regulations and installation conditions. This also serves as an effective option for long-term equipment planning aimed at achieving energy savings and carbon neutrality.
3.Advanced operational support system
To ensure stable operation after implementation, we have established an advanced support system. Our currently operational remote monitoring system continuously monitors CHP units and immediately issues alerts upon detecting anomalies. Furthermore, we are advancing research and development on systems that analyze operational data using AI to detect early signs of malfunction, as well as remote support solutions enabling rapid response through collaboration with experts via AR devices. Through continuous monitoring and preventive maintenance, we support long-term stable operation and reduced maintenance costs.
